Wohnen Sie in Zürich? Do you live in Zürich?

Nein, ich wohne nicht in Zürich.  No, I don’t live in Zürich.

Ich wohne (without the -n) in ….   I live in  …


GRAMMAR NOTE: Drop the –n at the end of verbs when you talk about the first person:

wohnen to reside becomes ich wohne 

kommen to come – ich komme aus   (I come from …)

Ich wohne in der Lindenstrasse 22.    (I live in 22 Lindenstreet.)


When you talk about a third person, he, she, it verbs change their form from to come / kommen to:

he comes/she comes/ it comes in English

er kommt/sie kommt/es kommt in German.
